Hmm. I secod your opinion about Metamatic.
But: I really don't get it why Numan is so generally disliked (or
actually hated sometimes). I think he did make some really good stuff
in his early stages. For example the albums "Telekon", "I Assassin",
"Pleasure Principle" and "Dance" all contain reasonable tracks.
As a sidenote, I used to collect Numans records. They were easy on my
wallet since you could often find them in bargain bins. :-)
He may have been pretentious but it doesn't make his songs worthless,
IMNSHO.
