Actually being 30+ seems worse for keeping up: when I go to a record store,
I want the idm things I'm interested in, PLUS industrial and experimental
sound releases, the weird progressive releases I've followed for years (new
and cd reissues), jazz, odd rock bands, all the solo artists I've been
collecting over the years, downtown nyc scene releases, avante classical,
soundtracks, world music, other indescribable records...
It never ends, and every year I know a little bit more about the tendrils of
the music world. It's to the point that I'm almost afraid when someone
plays me something really good that I know nothing about :)
