Every type imaginable. I swear i felt like the youngest guy there(and i'm
21)...i swear the guy in the lounge chair was Jerry Garcia(sp?) , or at
least he started to look more like him as the night grew on :). The
majority of party goers in Vancouver are 16, this was *very* nice change. I
just parked my butt at the front w/ my friends, and only moved twice. Can't
wait another month 'til apparently the live sets are released to
purchase...so don't feel bad all of you who missed the show(but Morris'
hologram suit is not included, nor the giant fish people ;) ). Seems to me
everyone who attended had Morris' 'Spiritual High' plugged into their deck
as they drove to the show-'cause evrybody just crashed on the PLUSH carpet
immediately, and got very comfortable. I'd fly out any day to see that
again.

Convince them to come back again, perhaps some of the R.O.D., Pod artists ,
Biosphere, and Kinetic Illusion;), now that would be a show......

:O
Elephant Farts, you can't be serious
....the locust lp 'weathered wall' is excellent, very dark. Much to my
liking, almost danceable in places. Haven't heard the 'needle' single
tho'....
PPPPlease no P.funk on this list, very un-idm imho....(Mr. Clinton's got
some chice clothes tho')...
Obidm... finally got my copy of Stevie Be Zet's 'arcahic modulation'
(R.O.D. 005) purely beautiful cd(tk2 especially seems kinda FLOYDian,
anyone agree). Any news on more ROD cd's to come?(b'sides the comp.)
Also picked up Plink Plonk 'parasols' comp. I should have listened to it
first, but i was really tired, after staying up all night for the ambient
show, and was purely going off a vague rememberance of a track played a few
months back, and the very positive reviews posted here. Its far too housey
for my tastes, some beats just too funky. Guess i should have read the
back cover. I was expecting rash techno/trance. There are a few tracks on
the first record that are ok, but some just are pushing it. I feel dumb ,
'cause the folks at Gaia Mantra had to frighten people off with threats of
extreme violence if they touched my copy [sorry Klea :( ]. I'll give it a
few more listens ....
Didn't much care for the Infonet Comp. either, except the 'synthless', and
'common law' tracks...kind of bland....
An amazing package came in the mail from our Terre Thaemlitz tho'. And as
teep said o' so long ago: "BEAUTIFUL*MUSIC". couldn't have been more spot
on...The tape of tracks from his upcoming album(june he says) just ooze it.
Piano, rainsticks, and deep bass abound...It's been alternating w/ the Be
Zet Cd, since i've come back from SF. YOU MUST HAVE THIS.
off to play with the aliens.....
