Geez, the Aphex backlash starts here, eh? Erm, as far as "strikingly new or innovative" goes, I haven't heard anything from "Industrial Culture" in several years that deserves that appelation. On the other hand, the track Jon dubs "Distorted Beat" wipes the floor with every "Industrial" song I've heard in recent memory. It f*ck*n' cranks, dUUd! (-: And I would hardly call SAW II a "Trance" album ... but isn't this like saying because it's "three notes repeated over and over", then therefore it's just like a Ramones album? (-: Trivia: the track Jon calls "Flutey ascension with Percussion" is the track he opened with in San Francisco. He also might have played "Blue Calx", but by then my brain was in a parallel universe ... (-: - Greg
