On Mar 21, 9:59am, Jon proclaimed:

} 174 King Street is a nice little venue. Most of the problems that
} Brian has mentioned have gone away lately. Or at least they haven't
} been as noticeable.
You mean it's 18+ now? That's my biggest beef with it, and I know it's
not because they HAVE to be 21+. Unfortunately this is a big factor
for me, and for a couple of the people coming up from LA for the party.
Even if they were officially 21+ and cool with 18+, I'd go. And if
more people felt as strongly as I did about this, then I think clubs
would re-evaluate their position. There is no legal reason they have
to be 21+ to go all night - those "cabaret license laws" the city
tried to use to shut down raves awhile ago have been struct down/ They
just need to get the right permits, and that costs a little extra
money and hassle. They could still serve as much alcohol as they
wanted. Not trying to get the right permits is tantamount to active
age discrimination, which I'm just not cool with.
