Very cool with lots of ethnic samples. Some nice remixes of the things we've
see on the "Ambient Dub" comps, but NO "DESERT WIND"! Can you believe it? It
isn't like umpteen remixes of that song over two years is enough. Oh well,
buy the single. However "Maya" seems to lack a lot of oomph. BdG's sound is
stated and never strays far from the course. I was a bit disappointed in the
album, but I still like it a lot.

That is the Hardkiss remix of "White Love" and I was lucky enough to get two
of these on promo. However, I traded one out for "O Je Suis Seul" (can you
blame me?), and the other one isn't going anywhere. That particular remix
isn't *that* stunning, but the remix by Slam is Reloadlike, oops, I mean
Godlike.

Whaaahooo. Looking like a real net-party is shaping up. Tons of people
(including me) are flying in from all over for Mixmaster Morris/Namlook. I
think an IDM dinner is in order. We can all get together and discuss Pearl
Jam. Mail me if you're interested and I'll see what I can coax Drukman and
Behlendorf into doing.
