'Digeridoo', Aphex Twin Power... I remember listening to this at a rave
underneath the Whitestone Bridge in the Bronx last
year and being totally blown away. Of course I
was under the influence of many things, but
watching the DJ with all the lights behind him
it seemed like I was looking at a tunnel that
stretched on to some other glorious world.
'Plastic Dreams', Jaydee Yes yes, it makes my stomach churn now because
I've heard it so many times, but back in Jan-Feb
of 92 when I first started hearing it, it conveyed
such a sense of... beauty.
'Rez', Underworld Wonder, awe, I think are the two best words to
describe the emotions this song brings forth. For
some reason this song didn't get much play on the
east coast even though it was a huge hit overseas,
so I didn't hear it until this past August at a
three-day rave out in the woods of Pennsylvania,
spun by Dante as the sun rose. Wow...
I have a couple other songs like this, but they are on mix tapes and I
unfortunately have no idea what they are!! :(
