There is a new 1/Tau track on a forthcoming compilation on the Methods To Survive label. Here is the info on the release... . They've got the whole World in their Hands 2xcd (Methods To Survive) "It was not really "Networking" we were thinking about, the evening the idea of this collection was born. We sat together &, as usual, discussed some topics, explored some themes & just celebrated our friendship & diversity on an East-Berlin summer night in 1998. We recognized our differences, & not just the ones in our musical interest & strategies to push evolution forward, whatever that could mean. This collection was conceived as a manifestation of the differences in our perspective & respect for our individual expressions, as much as it was a fun idea. In fact, what we did was to split up the complete playing time of the two records into six parts ‹ one for each of us. We agreed it was important not to fill this time with merely our music alone but to invite artists whose individual ideas of being active & evolve we share &/or value. We knew that it would be an experiment but we were sur we could not fail. An incredible & exciting time full of rumours followed until we found out who would be on the discs at the end with the exception of those we invited ourselves. No one knew & we were surprised by who turned up as you may be as well. Finally we also came all together for a live-in-studio-session, something that had never happened before. Portions of this legendary first session by THE METHODS are of course included here & we concluded that such collaborations are beneficially positive, we should go on.. Anyway, it is a great compilation of various artists, thoughts & expressions. It became as different & difficult as we are. If you are too specialized & stuck in your niche, better look further for another traditional genre sampler. Honour diversity & stand in line."
