There have been 4 PlastikMan releases. Two albums & two singles.
Here's the review that appeared in the latest Under One Sky (#12):
PLASTIKMAN (Ritchie Hawtin), Nova Mute (12 NoMu 28) UK, Distributed by RTM
Side A "Spastik," was the stand out track on the Plastikman double album
released in the US on Plus 8 (8028). The flip features a previously unreleased
track called "Helicopter" that is in the same vein as Spastik, it's the high
hats with a number of unrecognizable percussion sounds and a lot of echo &
effects that give it a helicopter groove the likes of which I never heard
before. Side B2 is a remix of "GAK" the original was (on the US copy of
Platikman) an ambient "listening" trancer clocking in at a mere 94 BPMs
remixed into a 148 BPM crazy acid stomper. This is singing acid. Mr. Hawtin
takes me back to the time when every sound was new. Brilliantly refresing.
HEATHER HEART
There have been 2 singles: a one-sided remix of GAK on Plus 8 (I haven't
seen it on import) and new material. The latest 12" is Krakpot while
Electrostatik is on the back. I've seen both the NovaMute release (which
would be domestic for you) as well as our domestic Plus 8 release. Krakpot,
using Heather's terminology, is a 'crazy acid stomper' which anyone who
appreciates the 303 should adore.
