i believe this situation arises because raves out here (west coast)
sometimes feature techno and acid jazz in the same evening... usually
the party might wind down with acid jazz rather than more mellow
techno.

yes. but the CD is not widespread here in america. in fact, i've
only ever seen three copies, two of which were promos. (the third one
is the one i bought.) i've never seen the Warp release either. so
actually "ginger" does seem to be something of a rarity. i still
don't know that it's worth $28, rare or not.
