Hello, I was wondering if someone on the list could help me clear some confusion that has been running through my mind about Acid Jazz. Over the past 2 months ive bought 2 acid jazz compilations on vinyl and they both are good, but are different. One is THIS IS ACID JAZZ Vol.3 put out by Instinct Records which is what i thought Acid Jazz was kind of jazzy rhythms with some funky beats and rhythms behind it. (Very descriptive i know:) The other is GIANT STEPS Vol.1 by FFRR/Payday records. The stuff on this sound more connected to R&B, Hip Hop influenced then the techno(logical) influence but it definately is some good shit! On the back of the Giant Steps comp. it says that the alblum was inspired by a night at the club in 1991. So i was thinking that maybe Acid Jazz has just changed alot in the years. So i was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what exactly Is acid jazz, where did it come from, where is it now, where is it going? + if anyone else can recommend some good Acid Jazz comps id appreciate it. thanks! doug )))))a b00mingg baSS for a l0ving race ((((( dz5401a@palestrina.anderson-lab.american.edu
