*Jason Finkelman* (aka Caxixikid) [live] - Straylight
Philadelphia-born percussionist Jason Finkelman (aka Caxixikid)
specializes in the Afro-Brazilian bow instrument berimbau and
performs on a wide variety of African and Brazilian instruments
handcrafted by Adimu Kuumba. As a performer, Jason continually
explores the art of improvised music through the combination of
unusual instrumentation and musical styles, a process which
established the groups Ferrocene3, Nu Orbit Ensemble and
Straylight. A composer for dance, theater and film projects,
Jason has enjoyed long standing collaborations with choreographer
Cynthia Oliver, as well as with Carl Hancock Rux, a renaissance
artist of today. Jason has received several Meet the Composer
awards, and a New York Dance and Performance “Bessie” Award,
along with Straylight's members Geoff Gersh (guitar) and Charles
Cohen (Buchla Music Easel) for composing music for Cynthia
Oliver's SHEMAD (2000). Currently residing in Urbana – Champaign,
IL, Jason promotes provocative art and music as a curator of the
Sudden Sound Concert Series (Krannert Art Museum), Global
Transfer Series (Krannert Center for the Performing Arts), and
Boneyard Arts Festival’s Late Night spACE (40 North 80 West), an
annual immersive arts event.
*Phonaut* [dj] - AtmoWorks
Noah Phonaut is a local sound artist and audiotourist whose
eclectic mixes were broadcast on WNUR's influential Streetbeat
show for a decade. Phonaut has also performed in the city's
various clubs, lounges, restaurants and parties. In 2006 he
received a graduate degree in Sound from the School of the Art
Institute of Chicago, and is currently working as a sound
designer for a local video game company. Phonaut's sets often
cover a variety of styles, mixing homegrown tracks with obscure
downtempo grooves, deep space lounge, clock-drone and quantum
ambient.
*Rook-TV* [vj]
Nathan Peck works in a variety of art forms including paint,
video and music. He is currently an art professor at Saint Xavier
University and The Chicago Art Department. His video works are
time experiments that merge pop iconography and video art history.
*Carla Starla* [readings]
A graduate of Invision. Carla has been professionally trained in
the areas of Healing, Meditation and Clairvoyant reading. Carla's
goal is to help awaken the true essence of the spirit. Helping

daily lives. She shares all her knowledge with love, truth and
compassion. True healing and success comes first through the ever
evolving process of self empowerment. That is the gift Carla has
to offer.

*Derby* [dj] - Chilluminati / Touch Samadhi / Psymbolic--sounds
In his life as a traveler, Derby came upon the sounds of
psychedelica in Europe. Settling soon thereafter in Chicago, he
became a resource that pulled those with similar musical tastes
together. Derby has since proven to positively affect the Midwest
Psy/Goa music scene by being a driving force behind Touch
Samadhi, a founding member of The Chilluminati and an essential
programmer within the Psymbolic--sounds label. You can expect to
hear a skillful set of funky melodic soundscaping electronica.
*Zac Franzoni* [live painting]
Live Painting Sessions by Zac Franzoni who was trained by an
