...just saw this was coming out soon on Malicious Damage: http://www.discogs.com/release/735648 Has anyone heard the Japanese release? Nice to see Patterson and Cauty working together on a new project. I liked the last few Orb releases (Bicycles & Tricycles and the Orb on Kompakt,) which are very different from one another, so I have no clue where Patterson will go next! Kind of exciting. Sound clips would be nice. In case anyone's interested, here's the blurb from the distributor: "Take a mix of the founding members of Ambient House, whose revolutionary music changed the lives of a generation, put them together with A-list musicians and programmers and throw in a pinch of comedian for good measure and what do you get? A kaleidoscopic banquet of anthems that makes dance music exciting and ambient again. That's what. Alex Paterson (The Orb: sonics, samplers, sequencers), Jimmy Cauty (KLF), Guy Pratt (long-standing post-Waters Pink Floyd bassist: bass, guitars, percussion, Indian flute, vocals) and Dom Beken (The Orb programmer/producer: programming, keys, drums and percussion, bass, guitars, harmonica, shouting) all met up and created this album. With a history of ignoring convention and changing musical expectations, this collective’ proved irresistible to guests such as Johnny Marr (ex-Smiths) and Simon Day (The Fast Show) and they happened to be in the vicinity at the time too, which helped!" Hmm... Pink Floyd-guy (on indian flute, no less!,) Johnny Marr... Should I be afraid?!?
