MP3 Trimmer is shareware, and will do what you want by shaving off one
track at a time. It may be Mac OSX only though, am not sure if on Win
platforms.
iTunes will allow you to set the length of playback of a track in it's Info
field and then allow you to export only the part of the track between the
playback start and finish points to whatever format you please.

Does anyone know of a free utility to split mp3s into different tracks? I
used to use Mp3 Surgeon but the machine it was on died. Now with all these
tasty mixes I just need to do simple things, like splitting a big mix into
tracks for CD.
