Most VJ apps will respond to MIDI input. There's a wide range of what they do and are capable of doing in response to MIDI data, but most of the more well-known ones (Resolume, VJamm, Union, Grid Pro) can do what you're likely expecting. That being said, I've always found using audio input a much better way of triggering changes in my VJ sets.
