The Bogus Man: I love it - because it is long and meandering, like medium-paced chase. I like where it goes and how it plods, even 35 years on (Lord, I'm old). "Grey Lagoons", placed immediately after it is the accelerated antidote. BTW, the whole series was remastered a few years ago and that first record has been cleaned up considerably. The reason I include "Stranded" in that list is because it represents Roxy as "Ferrymusic" (as he coined it) in what I consider to be a high watermark. After that, imo, it was imitation of the trophy. I also agree that Roxy was far more interesting with Eno's destabilization at work in the mix - alien interference was woefully lacking when he left after one of Ferry's tantrums over the shape of RM. Roxy was magic at their height - I got to see some of that early stuff live and it was even more jawdropping. I guess you had to be there, but they changed everything. jeff -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Alan Lockett <Alan.R.Lockett@bristol.ac.uk>
