No Rent is a pretty exciting label that I try to follow - - for Bandcamp Friday they've got their digital discography selling for 7 bucks! Insane deal. The Network Glass records are indeed really good (although his best one IMO is the collab with Jason Crumer which is on another label). IDM heads might dig the side B of the Thirdorgan release, Faster Detail, KK Null and Crown Of Cerberus, all on No Rent. Other No Rent highlights for me - Developer, J. Soliday, and Universal Cell Unlock - all on a Noise tip. Vanessa Rossetto's release is great too. I really can't think of proper unstructured "Haphazard sounds" release that take advantage of both the huge soundbanks offered by the web, cheap data storage, and easy to use programming languages to cut up and arrange samples quickly and randomly. Maybe my ear's all fucked up from listening to noise and electroacoustic stuff but the Network Glass stuff feels pretty tightly arranged (even if the source material is fairly random). I'm glad the NG stuff was mentioned - good excuse to revisit some interesting music. Cheers! Happy bandcamp friday everyone.
