I recently acquired a release by Rod Modell which it transpires is
available in two formats: CD and CDr.
I discovered (after acquisition) that I actually have the latter

Now, I'm not very well up on the technicalities of this, so I was wondering
if anyone can tell me what the difference in sound quality is between
material released on CDr as opposed to that on CD. I notice that, for
example, u-cover has taken to issuing a lot of stuff on CDr, so, yeah,
what's the deal?
