Tonight at OSCILLATE we are in for a special treat! Our good friends
Kristina Childs and the infamous Kris Moon will be joining us for a
night of dub flavored techno and aural bliss. Not to be missed I assure
you! These two are easily some of the finest Vinyl artists our fair city(Seattle)
has to offer. It's only 3 bux and you know that aint much I tell you!
Hope everyone had a great weekend. I was bummed that I missed Dan
Bell. I was a little under the weather, but I heard it was a great night.

this week we welcome special guests:
KRIS MOON (laptop battle, fourthcity-SEA)
is a local mainstay of Seattle's electronic music community. He is an
organizer of FourthCity's Laptop Battles, an active DJ and producer and
resident and director of the electronic weekly ROBO:TRASH. Kris is a
proponent of all things techno. He brings the harder edge as well as
the
more ethereal, dub flavors of the deep end. Whichever guise he adopts
you are assure of skilled beat mixing and impeccable record selection.
Tonight Kris will join us for a set of his dub flavored techno.
KRISTINA CHILDS (krakt, decibel festival-SEA)
is a local DJ with a deep apreciation of elctronic music as well as
being a guest DJ at many clubs in and around the NW, she has played in
Frankfurt, Bogotá, Medellin, Dallas, New York, Portland, and Coeur
D¹Alene. She has held residencies at Seattle clubs Contour, Habana's,
Art
Bar, club nights Shameless and Grace, and is a current resident of
promotion groups Krakt and Perfect Hit. She runs Plasmodium Radio and
is on
the board of directors for Decibel
Childs was introduced to Techno in 1995, but being involved in the punk
scene, she remained a closet technohead until her first party in 1998.
It was then that she was introduced to deep house, and was sure this
music would become a fundamental part of her life. It did, and within a
year Kristina was playing parties and after-hours within and around the
Seattle area.
Lately she has found a renewed vision and drive to expand her skills
into production. "I still love everything about playing records, and I
doubt I¹ll ever stop," she says, "but now I want to share my own music.
I
love many other genres, and want to build my skill and do something
interesting with it." So her spare time has been spent in the studio,
refining her sound and collaborating with other northwest artists. Her
debut was last year in the form of a vocal appearance on the Take
compilation
