beign that the clip you provided is sample based you may want to look into a yamaha rs7000. the hands on control is good and knobby and you could probably use it for double duty to send CC data to your software. the rs7000 can have multiple audio outs and it does have about the highest PPQN resolution you're likely to find in a stand alone unit. expect the second hand cost to be better than 50% of the machinedrum price.

So.. i have been working with software drum machines for a long time. Its
pretty much all i could afford (us poor student bums). I am currently
looking around at getting a nice hardware drum machine to work with. Of
course i would love an elektron machinedrum but its just a tad out of my
price range!!!!(!!!!)
