For the record, I didn't hear any New Order, Talking Heads, Kraftwerk, or
LCD Soundsystem, all of whom I love. I, the entire time I was there, heard
not a single track with vocals, nor anything remotely 80's - that would
certainly have kept my interest. Where you the first DJ up? "Around 11"
could mean a few minutes before or after. And before you go making sudden
judgements about me and my 'narrow minded' view of IDM and what IDM DJ's
should spin, know I have no elitist, pretentious opinions on that. And stuff
your "people who have musical tastes that started before Artificial
Intelligence came out" - simply because I didn't like the boring electronic
I heard by no means infers that I hate anything unrelated to Autechre. And I
love 80's music because I actually love it, not for its 'kitsch' factor or
to be dry and sardonic (who has 3 Bronski Beat albums on vinyl? Yes, that
would be me). By calling names ("fucking crybaby"), you've automatically
justified anything bad I may have had to say about the show. Don't be so
sensitive and reactionary, I'm not the only critic in the world and I'm
certainly not the only person who may not like a show.
THE BIG POINTS - Please let the audience know when the show starts, and
don't start it two hours late most certainly without letting anyone know.
