Sneak preview for you: the two current 'attractions' broadly consist in:- (i) lamentations that the list is no longer about discussion of music but more a channel through which subscribers attempt to foist their unwanted music on the assembled collector-casualties (i.e. this latter a trait of 'ambient people', allegedly). (ii) protestations over the undeserved (allegedly) high status of the Boreds from Canada (sic) (as compared with acts such as Throbbing Gristle, Black Dice, Wolf Eyes - y'know all those eminently comparable acts), with backlash followed by backlash-backlash, ending in requests to spread positivity, post top 20 favourite musician lists, shut the f**k up/stop shutting the f**k up etc. (I'm using shorthand rather than 'fly-on-the-wall' reportage methodology). Hope this helps. alan ---------------------- Alan Lockett (Senior Language Co-ordinator - EFL) Language Centre, University of Bristol, 30-32 Tyndall's Park Road, Bristol, BS8 1PY, UK tel: +44 (0)117 3310914 e-mail: Alan.R.Lockett@bristol.ac.uk --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
