I've recently turned 30 and could just as easily say that nothing being produced today sounds like techno as I remember it back in the day. But what's the point of that? Electronic music evolves just like any other genre. Sure it doesnt sound the same as 10 years before - but then wherefore the intelligence? We'd all be bored to tears listening to 10 years of the exact same sound with nary a deviation. Electro good. Progress better. So let's see... How about Aux 88 or Drexciya for some electro listening? Or some of Suction Records output - Solvent, Lowfish, mmm.. goodie!?
