i think you're reading a little bit to deeply into this with that statement.
if the toughest dude in the whole world was trying to get a phd in air
guitar i would still find it ridiculous. why does it have to be some
overblown social issue? it is air guitar. it's not jazz. it's not rock and
roll, it's not hip-hop, it's not dance music.
it is air guitar. there is nothing socially relevant about air guitar. it is
a joke. the high point of air guitar in our culture was Bill and Ted's
Excellent Adventure.
