i've decided it's time to figure out what the deal is with this japanese Onkyo genre, means 'reverberation' or something. super ambient electronic boredom... sounds lovely! it's a big thing, this onkyo, and am really looking for advice on some compilations to get me started, or sites, or artists in general. i'm pretty open to all ranges of sound (harsh to smooth), but prefer the smooth when it comes to purchasing, because i like to hear smooth more than once. any help would be super appreciated... i am kicking myself for missing that onkyo fest that went on in NYC this year... i love neina. they are a japanese super-ambient that released on mille plateux, i think. really, truly timeless, which you can't say for much on them old clicks n' cuts comps. also, if anyone is privy to any live showings of such things in nyc anytime soon, letme know, oi. also, if anyone knows any particularly good places to shop for such things in nyc that would be good too. kims has a japanese section, but it's not super extensive. _________________________________________________________________ Is your PC infected?
