You should hear the flap on the KLF list about this. Nearly everyone
who's posting (except me - I'm arguing with them...who would believe it?
:-) considers it blasphemy. One guy has his panties in a bunch over some
deemed ethical violation of calling it a remix if it doesn't sound
enough like the original.
I guess he's never heard Richard James' remixes and I guess he is the
one who gets to say how much something has to resemble the original to
make it a 'legitimate' remix.
My position is that as long as some source material is used, the sky's
the limit in calling most anything a remix. And as one sane listmember
pointed out, this track has been remixed to death by the KLF themselves
- time for something new imo.
