Hey all: Have a look at the new issue of Subsystence [http://www.subsystence.net]. Lots of great, free electronic music for download from Detalles, Cepia, Archetype (as Voice), Silicon (as H&S), and Sienna, as well as original art and insightful writing. I've attached the release below. Also, if you click the 'Archives' link on the homepage, you can leech mp3s from our previous 4 issues -- lots of great, occasionally exclusive material in there. Thanks for reading, Ken SUBSYSTENCE NEWSLETTER -- May 2005 Volume 5: Balance - Out Now! [http://www.subsystence.net] ADMINISTRIVIA -- You have received this message either because you personally signed up for information, or because someone you know thought you'd be interested in the Subsystence project. If you'd prefer to unsubscribe, simply scroll to the bottom of this email and follow the link provided. Incidentally, your address will, under no circumstances, be traded or shared with anyone else. Ever. STRIKE A BALANCE -- The new issue of Subsystence -- our fifth volume and first anniversary installment -- is finally online after an unintentionally extended hiatus. Granted, we've been a bit anal about the launch, but we think it was worth the wait. Featuring an all-new redesign by Anthony Vitagliano, the issue carries the theme of 'Balance' and features artwork from Nick Butcher, Suzy Poling, and Nazarin Hamid; writing from Martin Cockroft, Israel Vines, and Jennifer Hawe; original music by Cepia, Sienna, and Detalles; and more. Released as part of the 2005 May 1st and CSS Reboots, Volume 5 of Subsystence is, in our humble opinion, our strongest issue yet. We hope you'll agree. If you can, make some time over the next week to visit the site [http://www.subsystence.net] and judge for yourself. We welcome your feedback either through the online contact form or at info@subsystence.net. As always, all of our previous volumes are available by clicking the 'Archives' link on the front page. Thanks for reading! Ken Meier + Charles Adler Propietors CAST YOUR BALLOT -- Like what we do with the mag? Want to help support the cause? Click on Subsystence and, if you are so inclined, vote 'Yay.' That's all there is to it! Also, for the headstrong, load [http://www.cssreboot.com] and click to view 'All' participants. Scroll down to Subsystence and rate us out of 5 stars. We'll keep you posted on our progress through the Subsystence news blog. Incidentally, Subsystence was awarded two Honorable Mentions in last years May 1st Reboot, so we hope to have an even better shot this time around...
