STRIKE A BALANCE

The new issue of Subsystence -- our fifth volume and first anniversary
installment -- is finally online after an unintentionally extended hiatus.
Granted, we've been a bit anal about the launch, but we think it was worth
the wait.
Featuring an all-new redesign by Anthony Vitagliano, the issue carries the
theme of 'Balance' and features artwork from Nick Butcher, Suzy Poling, and
Nazarin Hamid; writing from Martin Cockroft, Israel Vines, and Jennifer
Hawe; original music by Cepia, Sienna, and Detalles; and more.
Released as part of the 2005 May 1st and CSS Reboots, Volume 5 of
Subsystence is, in our humble opinion, our strongest issue yet. We hope
you'll agree. If you can, make some time over the next week to visit the

addition to donating resources to the site through our PayPal account (click
'Share' on the home page), you can also vote for Subsystence through the May
1st and CSS Reboot competitions that are under way now.

will be released in August 2005. Simply write us at info@subsystence.net
and tell us a bit about what you'd like to share. All types of submissions
will be considered -- writing, art, poetry, video, interactive work,
photography, music, reviews -- you name it.
As always, since our news feed and events calendar are regularly updated,
also feel free to pass your links our way. We'll be glad to consider them
