Mr Fehlmann has been around for quite some time, with many, many great releases of his own and hands involved in The Orb and some knob twiddling with the likes of Sun Electric, to name a few. He was a member of the seminal Palais Schaumberg, the likes of which has given us Holger Hiller, Moritz Von Oswald (1/2 of Maurizio, Rhythm & Sound, Basic Channel stuffs, etc.). While I'm off on this tangent, an unsung hero of proto-IDM is Holger Hiller. If you can pick up the CD which combines Oben Im Eck and Ein Bundel Faulnis In Der Grube, I'd highly recommend it.
