Now now, I love confield, and pretty much anything Autechre turns out. I love Einstürzende Neubauten also. To say, however, that Ae's least musical moments don't compare to the likes of EN is just ill-informed. I think you need to listen to some recent EN. Hell, even listen to some of the work on Strategies Against Architecture II. I love confield, again, but most of EN is much more melodic, musical, and dare I say 'pop' (yeah, I saw the whole other discussion on that word) than confield can ever hope to be. Or even Draft 7.30 for that matter.
