Sometimes I think there should be only four electronic music genres: "the
thumpy shit," "the twitchy shit," "the swirly shit," and "the noisy shit."
You could, of course, combine them: "the thumpy-noisy shit," etc.
At least we'd be less likely to see people trying to claim every piece of
good music ever made for their subgenre, like what's-his-name does in THE
AMBIENT CENTURY.
