I saw him play upstairs at The Garage in London last year, and was
actually quite disappointed - he had his laptop and a synth, so most of
the backing was pre-prograamed and he would play live melody over the top.
The thing is, live, the beats sounded weak and feeble, and the synth
melodies went a little too Jean-Michel Jarre which once i had that thought
in my head, was sort of hard to overlook.
i wouldnt make much of an effort to go see him again, which i feel bad
about saying as i really like his albums, and also know how hard it can
be to transform an electronic composition into an interesting/entertaining
live show.
