the blue album...
when I 1st heard it before domestic release this summer, I could tell who it
was before I found out, which is good imho and that coupled with their
intent in finality makes the title fitting to the mood.
I feel the album is a very mature statement of who they are and what they
were trying to achieve with the sound they have been developing for years.
it explores a lot of terrain in contemporary dance music but still has the
approach and technique that gives that unique character. I enjoy their
entire catalog of albums, the album depending with the mood. Also, they did
a cool soundtrack with Michael Kamen arranging and conducting strings for
the movie Event Horizon. Although a lot of opinions I've seen have been very
split on blue, If you are an old school orbital fan you will immediately or
eventually appreciate the blue album.
