Dear Netradios, Please Read this: Openlab Records and Maetrixsolution are organizing a Netlabels/Netartists Festival where artists play from home or from wherever they want and broadcast their live sets though several internet radios in real time. The festival will start on March the 18th and we will have 48 hours of non-stop LIVE music. Here is the most updated list of the partecipants and participating Netradios: http://www.netstockfest.net The whole event will take place under the following license: http://creativecommons.org/license/music We are still looking for netradios who are interested to support a worldwide opensource project! We need you to stream the event online and live!!! We would be very glad by supporting us! For more needed information see the infos below... Please submit to following form for your possible participation: http://www.netstockfest.net/modules.php? op=modload&name=Netradios&file=index Netstockfest Concept: Interactive methods and devices are allowing new ways for performers to reach audiences across the world, bringing live performances to a global audience. The first Netstock festival was a joint idea by the minds behind the netlabels OpenLab Records, and maetrixsolution. Between Friday 18th March to Sunday 20th March 2005, we will bring you almost 60 hours of non-stop netaudio music from live performances and DJ's from many different netlabels across the globe. Who are we looking for? We are looking for like-minded performers and DJ's to participate in this netaudio festival, as well as people to help out with relaying the streams. So anyone, whether netlabel, performer, radio, magazine, ISP's etc, would like to help in making Netstock 2005 a thing to remember, and a festival to look out for in future years, then please don't hesitate to contact us on the Discussion Board here or on OpenLab Records. After we have a certain number of acts confrmed for the festival, RochieBones (Head of Co-ordination) shall be scheduling the event, and the offcial line up shall be confirmed in the coming months. To sign-up, please fill the relevant form available in main menu. Icecast2 (icecast.org) is an ogg vorbis supporting software. Llibshout is a library for communicating with and sending data to an icecast server. It handles the socket connection, the timing of the data, and prevents bad data from getting to the icecast server. Icecast is being developed on linux and windows, and is being tested with major unices. Server hosting: The main broadcasting server (the central server) will be hosted at openlab records. The central server will relay on all the «slave» servers. The slave servers will be hosted at rackspace.com (serverfarm in london). the clients (acts and artists, listeners) will connect to the slaves in london.
