Greetings all...it's been awhile since the last update, but we have
been very busy behind the scenes…I have a few things to announce and
some upcoming show info…

VIOLETS OUR NEXT FULL-LENGTH ALBUM IS NOW DONE
Violets was the single longest album project i have EVER worked on, it
started life a collection of tracks that got kicked around then
compiled into an EP for spring 04...then became a Maxi-EP for
summer/fall 04 and along the way we got Alison Shaw of the Cranes to
sing for us, then added some new tracks, resurrected some old ADAT
tapes to remix and voila 9 months later Violets is about to be born.
Violets is a continuation of the journey that we started with
Circulation in 2001, Recorder in 2002 and then focused and evolved
more deeply with Twine last year.
Artwork will be collages of some fantastic photos of Detroit urban decay.
I love it, but good riddance...now on to other things.
look for it out on Ghostly Int. this spring 2005...and a tour to accompany it.

SMM VOL 1 has been released to critical acclaim for Ghostly Int…Vol 2
is now available.

Art D' Echo – Todd Gys
We have a remix of Todd's track Dim…dubby-techy-fun.
One would be truly hard-pressed to simplify the ambient tech sounds
evolved into todd gys' debut full length, art d' echo. Much in the
vein of the renowned chain reaction and basic channel output, gys'
music doesn't merely wallow in its electronic surroundings, but
plummets the depths to uncover the spatially hypnotic potential that
experimental electronics offer. Rather than having each track work as
a singular unit, gys forms a 70-minute plus monolith built from the
foundations of analogue dub, digital house and eno-ish dreamscapes.
The resultant piece is his first full-length cd, featuring remixes
from phil western (download, plateau, off&gone), substance (chain
reaction, scion, tresor) and twine (ghostly int'l, hefty, bip hop).
