I saw this tour in Toronto a few nights ago. Signer played a guitar-with-laptop kinda thing. Did some singing as well. It was good, but didn't completely wow me. Ariel Pink was a bit of a train-wreck. They set up most of their gear after Signer had finished, started what I thought was supposed to be a sound-check, but it was actually their set. Since I'm not a big fan of Animal Collective and a lot of this other outsider-electronic-psych-folk stuff, perhaps my opinion shouldn't count for much, but I really didn't dig much of their set. Although there was one bit that I liked, as it oddly reminded me of really early Cabaret Voltaire. I only stayed for the first few minutes of Greg Davis as it was getting late and I had an early morning, but it looked like he was doing a straight laptop set. Started out with some nice droney stuff. I always enjoy him live no matter what he's doing, so I wish I could've stayed.
