I had the same problem. So instead of trying to let os x expand the
file itself (which was never going to finish) I quit the process,
opened stuffit expander and dragged the files into there, and it
expanded it perfectly.
I assume the zipping method was slightly altered since the last
intelligent toys release as they all worked perfectly. I think that the
zip format as many slight subtle differences in it's various
implementations, but a good industrial strength application (stuffit
expander for os x, winzip for windows) can usually deal with these.
