Having worked in IT in a mixed shop (advertising agency) and being platform agnostic, I can agree with this.
I would be willing to purchase a Mac for my own use, but it's a long way off. When I can put together a new PC for $400 that will speedily do all Internet work I require, play most any game I want for years to come, etc etc... I'm going to spend $400 and not however much it takes to buy a Mac to go with my 19" flat. And then I'd have to worry about plugging that 19" flat in to the Mac.
God, and the problems those Macs used to have... some of the wackiest shit (all OS9, granted - it was 2001). I always get furious whenever you complain about a problem with a PC program or PC and Mac people say, "Get a Mac."
Yeah, that will fix everything. My roommate moved out and now I have to struggle to pay the rent. "Get a Mac!" I don't like the interface of my random playlist generator plugin for Winamp. "Get a Mac!" I did poorly at the poker tournament last week, then got food poisoning the next day. "Get a Mac!"
Guys, I'm platform agnostic, but don't drive me away.
