Word. I went ahead and did this. I bought an
aftermarket battery that came with instructions. Took
me no more than 5 minutes to replace the battery.
For what it's worth however, the ipodbattery website
from those two guys (the URL of which I cannot
remember) had the disclaimer that in fact they *were*
aware of the cheap aftermarket batteries but were
nonetheless trying to make the point that Apple was
skirting the issue. Their tactic was very effective as
news organizations across the country carried the
story.
