I've seen/heard a sonic cannon in action. It was quite impressive, and
unsettling in the same way as an earthquake: disortienting reality,
visually as well as audibly. It entirely may be shaking of the eyes that causes
visual distortions, though it seems some other sense else is being affected as well:
I'm waiting for the next earthquake to do further bioassays.
