i think it was kid606 who made a great point that if you're doing
experimental music you have to accept that sometimes the experiment
isn't going to work. being that warp is supposedly an electronic and
experimental music label, i'd apply this here. seems to me warp is
trying to expand out of being a pure "IDM" label by signing vincent
gallo, broadcast, and !!!
maybe these aren't all great choices or albums (although i like
gallo's), but they're trying something different. if they think it's
not working maybe they'll try something else.
