BiP_HOp Generation [v.7] [bleep 24]
New design for the first chapter of the second series. Might be our best
volume and certainly the most fluent to listen to.

Almost 80 minutes of exclusive music by :
TAYLOR DEUPREE (us), inhabits New-York and founded 12K in 1997 : a
center for minimal, digital music. In collaboration with Richard
Chartier, Deupree started the LINE sublabel to further question the
ideas of minimalism. Deupree has issued music on Sub Rosa, Mille

EMISOR (ar), After years performing in the underground arts world in
Buenos Aires, Leonardo Ramella started his Emisor project in 1998. He
has released 5 albums since then... www.emisor.ws
FONICA (jp), Keiichi Sugimoto and Cheason live in Tokyo. Keiichi is also
a member of Minamo and runs the Cubic Music label. Cheason designs most

FM3 (cn), a Beijing-based collective of computer and classical
musicians, fm3 focuses on digitally distilling ancient Chinese folk
tradition into an organic, meditative, minimalist soundscape --

GHISLAIN POIRIER (ca), Montreal native Poirier released two
critically-acclaimed full lengths on experimental labels 12K and
Intr_version. Recently his work appeared on Chocolate Industries.
JANEK SCHAEFER [uk] Janek trained as an architect at the Royal College
of Art, emerged as a sound artist and composer, and lives and works in
London. He has releases on FatCat, Hot Air, Staalplaat, Sirr, Sub Rosa

David Toop & Max Eastley : doll creature [bleep 25]
Third album in thirty years from those masters of ambient music...
First one had appeared in 1975 on Brian Eno's Obscure label and was
pioneering ambient installationing... Second one "Buried Dreams"was
voted third placed record of the year, behind Portishead and Massive
Attack, in the 1994 Wire critics poll.
"Doll Creature" create a mysterious imaginative landscape through sound,
a narrative that takes form within our emotions through the
unvisualizable phenomenon of sound. A spiritual inspiration that throws
the obscure lineaments of invisible sound into visible relief.

Long awaited almost lost "legendary" album is out on Fällt. In the
meantime his music and sound has greatly evolved but die-hard
afficionados will be happy that this document has seen the light of day.
ANGEL will be playing the Mutek festival on June 5TH, along our pals
Kpt.Michigan and Portable. Also playing the previous days Ilpo Vaisänen
and Schneider TM.

BOVINE LIFE
Chris Dooks is continuing to work within the world of contemporary art.
For the last twelve months he has been artist in residence at
Edinburgh's Stills gallery (www.stills.org) and is leading a workshop
with youngsters from ethnic minority backgrounds with the BiP_HOp
"SOUNDTOY", designed by Tonne, and producing a show within May using
three soundtoy clashes at the same time!
PAN/TONE
Our canadian hero, relocated in Koln, was over for the week-end to play
our Playschool event and once again his set was very impressive,
everyone dancing, shouting. For sure not to be missed if playing close

Pan/Tone is enjoying the release of his new 12' on Sub Static
(Unsubscribe / SUS 38), and a new album soon on Onitor under the moniker
Gringo Grinder (Breakfest Included). Busier than a bee, he has
developped another project called Sid Le Rock that has been signed on
Ladomat/Mute.
