going back and forth between chicago and san francisco area, i've seen a lot of crazy dancing techniques at IDM shows. Funniest thing i ever saw dancing wise was at a rephlex show in chicago when dmx krew was in the audience dancing hardcore to i think cylob. he was like, kicking his legs and throwing his arms all over, and everyone was kind of offended by him until he got up on stage and then they were like, oh shit, that guy's a musician. chicago: bogdan raczynski, prefuse 73 san fran: 8fm, tipper, plaid, kid606 LA: aphex twin these are the american shows i've seen where people were dancing off the hook. i've never seen anyone like autechre play live, so i dont know how americans react to that, but also whenever i go see four tet or mike paradinas i always feel like i am the only one dancing. i will be coming to germany in a year or two to work so i'll have to go check out some shows and bring my nerd specs. greg --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
