I kinda felt compelled to reply "crap", but here's the official explanation by microsoft. Which still means "crap" anyway. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/wm7/drm/faq.aspx#General1 Microsoft isn't the unique power behind DRM, don't get me wrong.
