Fans of Detroit techno should check out the new Future Beat Alliance "Lumiere Ep" on Versatile. The track "Fake Love" sounds a little inspired by Carl Craig. Top notch wax! Has anyone picked up the new I:Cube album? I was curious what it was like. Another 12" with Detroit sensibilities is Fabrice Lig's "Los Picaros". It's part detroit/part brazilian. Smashing tune! Another brilliant detroit/brazil tune is John Arnold's "Respectall" Essential!! Iain S Hinchliffe <iain_hinchliffe@lycos.com> wrote: Glad to see 65daysofstatic mentioned. I heard a demo of theirs a while ago and saw them live once or twice. Nice chaps trying something different. They play every month or so in and around Oxford (UK). Worth checking out.
