does sony own any recording studios? that would hit the artists
two ways at once. a lot of bands move into a studio (such as the
house where both the cure and radiohead recorded albums). if
sony (or any other label) owned any of those, they'd be making the
money back that was spent making the album as well as housing
them. not to mention the in-house chef...
