I hope we've already accepted these premises and moved on.
There's definitely an uncharacteristic revival aspect going on
in "IDM" circles, but i guess that depends on what you consider
"IDM". Vibert's on Warp, which makes him IDM by default
in people's eyes, even if he's doing jungle singles that wouldn't
have stood out at all in 1994. Then there's sort of that mini
acid-throwback
thing.
It doesn't matter to me really, but its an observation.
I think it come more from problems with language or naming
more than any problem with music.
Any reviews of the new Richard Devine yet?
I'm going to post the info for the Pittsburgh date for the
Schematic Tour soon. Its hard to imagine how insane that's going
to be....
