StaticBeats: ha ha daeta32: and i loved his music for a few reasons.. daeta32: and those reasons don't exist in his music any more.. daeta32: i have a theory that he's being lazy, but he's playing it off like he's trying to put out revival albums.. StaticBeats: i believe it daeta32: i've hung out with him three times... daeta32: and the first two times.. daeta32: it was for over three or four hours... daeta32: and it wasn't at a music venue.. daeta32: and i can tell you first hand, that the man is lazy.. daeta32: and he just can't care less at times.. daeta32: if you saw his performance at the warp show in la you would be pissed. daeta32: as far as i'm concerned, he hasn't made a really great vibert release since big soup... daeta32: everything after that was so gimmicky and polished sounding.. StaticBeats: ha ha StaticBeats: the critic daeta32: the releases he put out before that sounded like he made them in his bedroom.. daeta32: and they were almost unfinished.. they had a warm charm to them.. daeta32: even his plug material.. daeta32: now he sounds like 100 other artists.. StaticBeats: that shit was fucking dope when it came out StaticBeats: i havent even heard big soup daeta32: i meant even his plug material was fucking insanely good. StaticBeats: wow. those are some pretty harsh words man StaticBeats: you should write a review of the album daeta32: i was a huge fan... daeta32: i'm serious.. daeta32: dude, at one point, there was like a two year stretch that he was my favorite artist of all time.. daeta32: i've got vibert tracks so rare that they weren't even initially on his disography... daeta32: i went through hell to get some of that shit too.. daeta32: haha.. daeta32: that was then.. daeta32: when i'd die to just hear one more track of his.. StaticBeats: and now ? daeta32: i get his releases and i feel like he's not trying.. daeta32: i almost didn't even get his new cd.. StaticBeats: wow daeta32: it's just not exciting any more.. daeta32: for me.. getting a new aphex album is still exciting... StaticBeats: time to move on ... ? StaticBeats: well then, in the "biz" thats what matters daeta32: bands like radiohead can put out three chord crap for their next 10 releases and it'll sell 3 million copies cause they have such a hardcore fanbase.
