Saturday October 11 & Sunday October 12
Delve deep into a world of sonic exploration, beats, bleeps,
samples and slang when some of the world¹s best live electronic
musicians and hip-hop performers collaborate with Australian
sound and video artists over two days only at The Studio, Sydney
Opera House.
As part of */This Is Not Art/* Australia¹s leading annual arts, music
and new media festival based in Newcastle *Sound Summit* is dedicated
to the work of independent electronic musicians and hip hop artists.
Sound Summit 2003 will feature over thirty Australian and international
speakers and artists in panels, workshops and live performances.
Spread over two uniquely themed Sessions on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12
October, Sound Summit artists will come to The Studio, Sydney Opera
House to perform their only Sydney shows, presenting a selection of
cutting edge electronic and hip hop artistry.
Artists from the USA, UK, Japan and across Australia will present unique
improvised performances and one-off collaborations. These live
performances will feature artists on laptops, live drums and analogue
synthesisers accompanied by video-based visuals.
