A few months back, some damn spammer used my domain name as part of the 'from'
address for his spam; they also used an email address database with a huge
number of old addresses in. Result? I got (approx) 70,000 'returned mail, user
unknown' messages.
Good thing that my ISP is friendly - I emailed them, and they purged my inbox
for me.
As for the sobig stuff, well I guess it'll die down soon - I've been getting
the odd 'returned email' message, but nothing too unmanageable.
If the returned-mail you are getting is from spammers faking the 'from'
address, you may be able to tell them to stop since their details will be in
the spam message somewhere...
