And one of the first to utilize the Theremin to great effect.
Hitchcock's 'Spellbound' was the first soundtrack to feature the Theremin.
'The Day The Earth Stood Still' is a classic Theremin s.f. soundtrack.
Morricone's 'Once Upon A Time In The West' is my fave of his stuff, so far.
'Man With A Harmonica' is the sh!t. The film is the sh!t, too:
Henry Fonda is one ~bad~ muthafucka: there's no Golden Pond in that
wild west. If one gets an opportunity to view that movie on a big
screen, do it: the villainous Fonda, in a giant, close-up, screen-fillling headshot,
is worth the price of the ticket: his character is a classic movie monster.

And his character is completely out-of-character, for Henry Fonda.
Oscar Sala - The Birds: another great one.
